How Medicine Works

Dandrid Lotion is a combination of four medicines: Menthol, Miconazole, Tinidazole and Zinc Sulfate which treat dandruff. Menthol produces a cooling effect on the scalp. Miconazole is an antifungal medicine which stops the growth of dandruff-causing fungi by preventing them from forming their own protective covering. Tinidazole is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria and other microorganisms by damaging their DNA. Zinc Sulfate is an antiseptic.

• Dandrid Lotion is used for the treatment of dandruff and thus relieves flakiness and itching.
• Use Dandrid Lotion twice weekly for 2-4 weeks. Clean and dry your scalp before applying Dandrid Lotion.
• Drink plenty of water as by hydrating your body, you also reduce the number of flakes on your scalp, thereby decreasing the appearance of dandruff.
• Avoid scratching your scalp as it will only aggravate dandruff.
• Make sure to cover your head with a hat or a scarf whenever you step out.
• Do not share pillow covers with anyone else and change them after every 2-3 days.
