Clavam 625 Tablet is an antibiotic that helps your body fight infections caused by bacteria. It is used to treat infections of the lungs (e.g., pneumonia), ear, nasal sinus, urinary tract, skin, and soft tissue. It will not work for viral infections such as the common cold.
Clavam 625 Tablet is best taken with a meal to reduce the chance of a stomach upset. You should take it regularly at evenly spaced intervals as per the schedule prescribed by your doctor. Taking it at the same time daily will help you remember to take it. The dose will depend on what you are being treated for, but you should always complete an entire course of this antibiotic as your doctor prescribes. Please do not stop taking it until you have finished, even when you feel better. If you stop taking it early, some bacteria may survive, and the infection may return or worsen.
he most common side effects of Clavam 625 Tablet include nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, fungal infections of the mouth, skin fold or vagina, skin rashes, and vaginitis. These are usually mild, but let your doctor know if they bother you or will not go away.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist

Clavam 625 Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Amoxycillin and Clavulanic Acid. Amoxycillin is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Amoxycillin against bacteria.

Clavam 625 Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Clavam 625 Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
Clavam 625 Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Clavam 625 Tablet may cause side effects such as allergic reactions, dizziness or fits that may make you unfit to drive.
Clavam 625 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Clavam 625 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of this medicine is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

If you miss a dose of Clavam 625 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
