Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Temsunir 0.4 mg Tablet FC is to be taken with food.
Tamsulosin must be taken after breakfast or the first meal of the day.
Temsunir 0.4 mg Tablet FC is an alpha blocker. It works by relaxing the muscles around the bladder exit and prostate gland so urine is passed more easily. This helps empty the bladder completely and reduces the need to pass urine frequently or urgently in BPH.

Taking tamsulosin with alcohol may lower your blood pressure. This can cause dizziness or feeling like you might pass out, especially when getting up from a sitting or lying position.
Temsunir 0.4 mg Tablet FC is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Temsunir 0.4 mg Tablet FC is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Temsunir 0.4 mg Tablet FC does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Temsunir 0.4 mg Tablet FC is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Temsunir 0.4 mg Tablet FC is recommended.
However, limited information is available on the use of Temsunir 0.4 mg Tablet FC in patients with end stage kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
Temsunir 0.4 mg Tablet FC should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Temsunir 0.4 mg Tablet FC may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
