Description of Latocom Eye Drops

Latocom Eye Drops is to be used only in the affected eye. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Wash your hands before using this medicine. Check the label for directions before use. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.Use of this medicine may cause burning sensation, stinging, and irritation at the application site. These are usually temporary and resolve with time. However, if they persist or get worse, inform your doctor. In case of accidental contact with your ears, nose, or mouth, immediately rinse it with water.Inform your doctor if you have a known allergy to any of the ingredients in this medicine or if you are taking any other medication. It is advised not to drive or operate heavy machinery immediately after using this medicine as it may cause temporary blurring of vision and may affect your ability to drive.

How to use Latocom Eye Drops

This medicine is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off extra liquid.

How Medicine Works

Latocom Eye Drops is a combination of two medicines: Timolol and Latanoprost. Timolol is a beta blocker while Latanoprost is a prostaglandin analogue while. They work by decreasing the production of aqueous humour (fluid in the eye), thereby lowering the increased eye pressure.

  • Latocom Eye Drops helps lower high pressure in the eye and reduces the risk of vision loss.
  • To avoid contamination, do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface.
  • After applying Latocom Eye Drops, close your eyes, and place one finger at the corner of your eye. Apply gentle pressure for 1 to 2 minutes before opening your eyes. This will prevent the medication from draining out. 
  • Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution.
  • Make sure to use it within 4 weeks of opening the bottle.
