Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Moxclav 1gm Tablet is to be taken with food.

Moxclav 1gm Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Amoxycillin and Clavulanic Acid. Amoxycillin is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Amoxycillin against bacteria.

Moxclav 1gm Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Moxclav 1gm Tablet is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Moxclav 1gm Tablet may cause side effects such as allergic reactions, dizziness or fits that may make you unfit to drive.
Moxclav 1gm Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Moxclav 1gm Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of this medicine is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
