Urofit Oral Solution is a combination of three medicines: Potassium Citrate, Magnesium Citrate and Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) which prevent kidney stones. Potassium Citrate and Magnesium Citrate raise urine pH and prevents the formation, growth and aggregation of crystals in the kidneys, thereby preventing stones. Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) is added as its deficiency is associated with increased synthesis of oxalate, which is one of the constituents of kidney stones.

Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Urofit Oral Solution is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Urofit Oral Solution does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Urofit Oral Solution is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Urofit Oral Solution may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
