Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Aldo H 5mg/12.5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Aldo H 5mg/12.5mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Amlodipine and hydrochlorothiazide which lower blood pressure effectively. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker which relaxes blood vessels and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic which removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body by increasing the amount of urine produced. Over time it also works by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow.

Taking Hydrochlorothiazide with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
Aldo H 5mg/12.5mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Aldo H 5mg/12.5mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Aldo H 5mg/12.5mg Tablet may cause side effects such as dizziness, headaches, nausea or tiredness, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.
Aldo H 5mg/12.5mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Aldo H 5mg/12.5mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Aldo H 5mg/12.5mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
