Gemidro Tablet is used in the treatment of osteoporosis. It treats osteoporosis in postmenopausal women and men at high risk of fractures.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Gemidro Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
Gemidro Tablet is a bisphosphonate. It works by suppressing the activity of osteoclasts, cells that cause destruction of bone. This strengthens the bones and minimizes the risk of fractures.

It is generally safe to consume alcohol with Gemidro Tablet.
Gemidro Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Gemidro Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Gemidro Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Gemidro Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Gemidro Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
No dose adjustment is recommended for patients with mild or moderate renal impairment.
Gemidro Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Gemidro Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
