Taximax 375 mg Injection is a combination of two medicines: Cefotaxime and Sulbactam. Cefotaxime is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Cefotaxime against bacteria.

Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Taximax 375 mg Injection is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Taximax 375 mg Injection may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Taximax 375 mg Injection should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Taximax 375 mg Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Regular monitoring of kidney function may be advised while you are taking this medicine.
There is limited information available on the use of Taximax 375 mg Injection in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
