Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Kefmax CV 50 mg/31.25 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Kefmax CV 50 mg/31.25 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Cefpodoxime Proxetil and Clavulanic Acid. Cefpodoxime Proxetil is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Cefpodoxime Proxetil against bacteria.

Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Kefmax CV 50 mg/31.25 mg Tablet is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Kefmax CV 50 mg/31.25 mg Tablet may cause side effects such as allergic reactions, dizziness or fits that may make you unfit to drive.
Kefmax CV 50 mg/31.25 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Kefmax CV 50 mg/31.25 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
