How to use Semi Beta Nicardia 25 mg/10 mg Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Semi Beta Nicardia 25 mg/10 mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
Take it either 1 hour before or 2 hours after food.

How Medicine Works

Semi Beta Nicardia 25 mg/10 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Atenolol and nifedipine which lower blood pressure effectively. Atenolol is a beta blocker that works specifically on the heart to slow down the heart rate while nifedipine is a calcium channel blocker which works by relaxing blood vessels. Together, they make the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body.

Related Warnings

Atenolol and alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.

Semi Beta Nicardia 25 mg/10 mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.

Semi Beta Nicardia 25 mg/10 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.

Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Semi Beta Nicardia 25 mg/10 mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, faint, extremely tired or have visual disturbances. This may affect your ability to drive.

Semi Beta Nicardia 25 mg/10 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Semi Beta Nicardia 25 mg/10 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
