Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Piriton U 2 mg Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Piriton U 2 mg Syrup is an antiallergic medication. When your body is exposed to an allergen (pollen, animal dander, house dust etc.), it produces a chemical called histamine. This causes watery eyes, runny or blocked nose, sneezing, skin rashes, itching etc. Piriton U 2 mg Syrup works by blocking the action of histamine, thereby relieving these symptoms.

Piriton U 2 mg Syrup may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Piriton U 2 mg Syrup is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Piriton U 2 mg Syrup is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Larger doses or prolonged use of Piriton U 2 mg Syrup may cause sleepiness and other effects in the baby
Piriton U 2 mg Syrup may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Piriton U 2 mg Syrup is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Piriton U 2 mg Syrup may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Piriton U 2 mg Syrup may cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.
There is limited information available on the use of Piriton U 2 mg Syrup in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
