It should be used with caution in people who have any problems with their heart, kidneys, or liver.Using this medicine may cause sleep problems (insomnia), nervousness, irritation, or restlessness. If you experience any of such side effects that do not go away or worsen, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may be able to suggest ways of preventing or reducing the symptoms. In general, you should try to use the smallest amount necessary to control your symptoms.Before using the medicine, you should tell your doctor if you have any other illnesses or disorders. It may also affect, or be affected by, some other medicines you are using so let your doctor know all the other medicines you are taking. Do not consume alcohol when on treatment with this medicine as it may cause excessive sleepiness. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctors first before using the medicine.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Novalgin NU Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Avoid Novalgin NU Tablet with caffeine and chocolate as well as food containing caffeine and chocolate such as tea leaves, cocoa beans.
Novalgin NU Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Caffeine and Paracetamol. Caffeine narrows the blood vessels in the brain to reduce headache. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain. Together, they relieve headache effectively.

Novalgin NU Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
Novalgin NU Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Novalgin NU Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.

Contact your doctor immediately even if you feel well. An overdose of Novalgin NU Tablet can cause serious liver damage. Symptoms of liver damage are fever, rash, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, stomach pain, dark urine, and yellow skin or eyes.
The recommended doses for adults and children are different. Adults should take 1-2 tablets every 4 hours. Do not take more than 8 tablets a day. Whereas, children should be given 1 tablet every 4 hours. Do not give more than 4 tablets a day.
Avoid using Novalgin NU Tablet for more than 2-3 days per week for headache. Its overuse can instead lead to the occurrence of a medicine-overuse headache.
Keep this medicine in the packet or the container it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people.
Novalgin NU Tablet contains paracetamol. This medicine is known to cause harm to the liver in high doses. Also, avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine, as it may further increase your risk of liver damage. Use of this medicine should preferably be avoided in patients with the underlying liver disease. Contact your doctor immediately if you notice any early signs and symptoms of liver damage. These symptoms may include fever, rash, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, stomach pain, dark urine, yellow skin or eyes and abnormal liver enzymes.
