Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Cardace Meto 2.5 Tablet ER is to be taken with food.
Cardace Meto 2.5 Tablet ER is a combination of two medicines: Metoprolol and ramipril which lower blood pressure effectively. Metoprolol is a beta blocker which works by slowing down the heart rate and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood around the body. Ramipril is an ACE inhibitor which reduces stress on the heart and relaxes blood vessel so that blood flows more smoothly.
Related Warnings
Taking Metoprolol with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
Cardace Meto 2.5 Tablet ER is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Cardace Meto 2.5 Tablet ER is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Cardace Meto 2.5 Tablet ER may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Cardace Meto 2.5 Tablet ER should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Cardace Meto 2.5 Tablet ER may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Regular monitoring of blood pressure is recommended for dose adjustment.

Inform your doctor if you develop any signs and symptoms of jaundice while taking this medicine.
