This medicine is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the tube close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the tube and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid.
Tacliment Eye Ointment is an immunomodulator. It works by suppressing the action of a protein (calcineurin). This decreases the production of inflammatory chemicals by certain immune cells (T lymphocytes). This relieves allergic eye symptoms.

Tacliment Eye Ointment may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Tacliment Eye Ointment is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Tacliment Eye Ointment may make you feel dizzy, drowsy or affect your vision. Do not drive until your vision is clear.
