You can take T-Mart 40 H Tablet with or without food. The dose will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. Try to take it at the same time each day. It’s important to keep taking this medicine until your doctor tells you not to. It contains a diuretic (water pill) and will make you urinate more, so it is best to avoid taking this medicine within four hours of going to bed. Use this medicine regularly even if you feel better to get the most from it. High blood pressure does not usually have symptoms and if you stop taking it your risk of heart attack or stroke may increase.The most common side effect is dizziness. Other side effects include feeling tired, nausea, shortness of breath, and changes to your heartbeat. Frequent urination is not a side effect of this medicine. The medicine may make you dizzy so avoid driving, using machinery or doing anything that needs concentration unless you know how this medicine affects you. If you feel dizzy, lie down so you do not faint. Then sit for a few moments before standing to prevent feeling dizzy again.
If you accidentally take too much of T-Mart 40 H Tablet, you may experience symptoms such as low blood pressure, dizziness, lightheadedness, weakness, vomiting and rapid heartbeat. However, in some cases slow heartbeat, reduced kidney function including kidney failure (e.g., reduced urine output) have also been reported. If you experience any such symptoms, contact your doctor immediately and seek medical help.
Remember, T-Mart 40 H Tablet does not cure your hypertension (high blood pressure) but helps normalize it. You should continue taking this medicine even if your blood pressure is controlled. If you stop taking T-Mart 40 H Tablet, your blood pressure could rise back up again. Generally, blood pressure-lowering medicines are to be taken for the rest of your life. It is important to know that by keeping your blood pressure controlled you are reducing your risk of having a heart attack or a stroke.
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is close to the time of your next dose, skip the missed one and take the next scheduled dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for the one you missed. If you often forget doses, it may help to set an alarm to remind you. If not sure, consult your doctor for other ways to help you remember.
You should not stop taking T-Mart 40 H Tablet without talking to your doctor first. If you do stop taking it, your blood pressure may rise and you may put yourself at greater risk of having a heart attack or a stroke.
