Epsoval 300 mg Tablet XR is an antiepileptic medication. It controls seizures or fits by decreasing the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.

Epsoval 300 mg Tablet XR may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Epsoval 300 mg Tablet XR is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Epsoval 300 mg Tablet XR is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Epsoval 300 mg Tablet XR may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Epsoval 300 mg Tablet XR is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Epsoval 300 mg Tablet XR may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.
Epsoval 300 mg Tablet XR should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Epsoval 300 mg Tablet XR may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Epsoval 300 mg Tablet XR is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
