Moxicip Tablet is used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It is also used in infections of urinary tract, tonsils, sinus, nose, throat, female genital organ, skin & soft tissues and lungs (pneumonia).

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Moxicip Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Moxicip Tablet is an antibiotic. It works by stopping the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase. This prevents the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing them.

It is generally safe to consume alcohol with Moxicip Tablet.
Moxicip Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Moxicip Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Moxicip Tablet may make you feel dizzy or light-headed, you may experience a sudden, transient loss of vision, or you may faint for a short period. This may affect your driving ability.
Moxicip Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Moxicip Tablet is recommended.
However, inform your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.
Moxicip Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Moxicip Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Limited information is available on the use of Moxicip Tablet in these patients. No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.
