Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Neo-Mercazole 20 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Neo-Mercazole 20 Tablet is an anti-thyroid medication. It works by reducing the amount of thyroid hormones produced by the thyroid gland.

Neo-Mercazole 20 Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Neo-Mercazole 20 Tablet is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
The American Thyroid Association also recommends monitoring babies for appropriate growth and development during routine pediatric check-ups.
Neo-Mercazole 20 Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.
There is limited information available on the use of Neo-Mercazole 20 Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
Neo-Mercazole 20 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Neo-Mercazole 20 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Inform your doctor if you develop any signs and symptoms of jaundice while taking this medicine. Use of Neo-Mercazole 20 Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
