Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Natrilam 5 Tablet SR may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Natrilam 5 Tablet SR is a combination of two medicines: Amlodipine and indapamide which lower blood pressure effectively. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker which relaxes blood vessels and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Indapamide is a diuretic which removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body by increasing the amount of urine produced. Over time it also works by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow.
Related Warnings
Taking Indapamide with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
Natrilam 5 Tablet SR may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Natrilam 5 Tablet SR is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Natrilam 5 Tablet SR may cause side effects such as dizziness, headaches, nausea or tiredness, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.
Natrilam 5 Tablet SR should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Natrilam 5 Tablet SR may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
