Ebexid 25mg/15mg/1mg Tablet may be taken with or without food. It should be used in the dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. It is advised to take this medicine at a fixed time.This medicine should not be taken more than the recommended dose. Common side effects include anxiety, vomiting, diarrhea, and palpitations. The side effects are for a short duration and are well-tolerated. Ebexid 25mg/15mg/1mg Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Nicotinamide, Thyroxine and Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine). Thyroxine is a synthetic version of a hormone produced by the thyroid gland. It works by replacing the thyroid hormones that your thyroid gland cannot produce. This relieves the symptoms of hypothyroidism (tiredness, weight gain, and depression). Nicotinamide and Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) provide essential nutrients.

Ebexid 25mg/15mg/1mg Tablet contains thyroxine/levothyroxine and is indicated for use in patients with hypothyroidism which is usually associated with weight gain. Ebexid 25mg/15mg/1mg Tablet may help in maintaining a normal weight of the patients but does not cause weight loss. However, weight loss could be a side effect of this medicine when taken in more than recommended doses.
The use of Ebexid 25mg/15mg/1mg Tablet is contraindicated in patients with known allergy to any of its ingredients, in patients of thyrotoxicosis (patients with very high levels of thyroid hormones) and patients with any disease of the adrenal glands.
Take Ebexid 25mg/15mg/1mg Tablet exactly as advised by your doctor. Get your thyroid function tests regularly and consult your doctor before making any changes in the dose of your medicine.
Keep this medicine in the container or pack it came in, tightly closed. Store it as mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children, and other people.
Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) is essential for the utilization of iodine needed for the synthesis of Thyroxine hormone. Nicotinamide is needed to keep all the body cell's active including those of our glands. Together, they have a beneficial effect on the thyroid gland.
There are many drugs which should preferably be avoided along with Ebexid 25mg/15mg/1mg Tablet as it contains Thyroxine. The various drugs include antacids, iron, sucralfate, cholestyramine, proton pump inhibitors, carbamazepine, phenobarbital, and phenytoin. These drugs can lower the levels of thyroxine. Inform your doctor if you are taking any of these medicines. Your doctor may adjust your dose.
It is best to take Ebexid 25mg/15mg/1mg Tablet on an empty stomach (ideally, first thing in the morning before breakfast) as it contains Thyroxine / Levothyroxine. No tea/coffee, food or milk should be taken 1 hour before and 2 hours after taking this medicine as it affects the absorption of Thyroxine / Levothyroxine. For those who cannot take it empty stomach, can take it with breakfast but this could cause fluctuation in the TSH levels.
