Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Twinblok Trio Tablet ER is to be taken with food.
Twinblok Trio Tablet ER is a combination of three medicines: Chlorthalidone, metoprolol and cilnidipine. They work by different mechanisms to provide better control of blood pressure when single or dual therapy is not effective. Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker which works by relaxing blood vessels while metoprolol is a beta blocker that works specifically on the heart to slow down the heart rate and reduce blood pressure. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic which removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body via increased urination. Over time it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow.

Taking Metoprolol with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
Twinblok Trio Tablet ER may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Twinblok Trio Tablet ER may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Twinblok Trio Tablet ER should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Twinblok Trio Tablet ER may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Twinblok Trio Tablet ER is not recommended in these patients.
