Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Risperdal 1 mg/ml Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Risperdal 1 mg/ml Syrup is an atypical antipsychotic. It works by affecting the levels of chemical messengers (dopamine and serotonin) to improve mood, thoughts and behavior.

Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Risperdal 1 mg/ml Syrup is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Risperdal 1 mg/ml Syrup may make you feel dizzy, drowsy or affect your vision. Do not drive until your vision is clear.
Risperdal 1 mg/ml Syrup should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Risperdal 1 mg/ml Syrup may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
