Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Megatin DC Capsule is to be taken empty stomach.
Take it preferably half to one hour before food.
Megatin DC Capsule is a combination of two antibiotics: Ampicillin and Dicloxacillin. These antibiotics work by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Together, they treat your infection effectively.

Megatin DC Capsule is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Megatin DC Capsule is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
It is not known whether Megatin DC Capsule alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Megatin DC Capsule should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Megatin DC Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
There is limited information available on the use of Megatin DC Capsule in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
