Povi 10 Powder is a combination of two medicines: Povidone Iodine and Ornidazole. Povidone Iodine is an antiseptic applied on skin which is infected or is likely to get infected. It slowly releases iodine which kills or prevents the growth of infectious microorganisms. Ornidazole is an antibiotic which kills bacteria and other infectious microorganisms by damaging the DNA.

Povi 10 Powder may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heartbeat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure with alcohol (Disulfiram reactions).
Povi 10 Powder may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
