Fondaparinux (2.5mg)
Fondastar 2.5 mg Injection is used to prevent blood clots. It prevents blood clot formation that may be due to orthopedic (such as hip or knee surgery) or abdominal surgery or due to restricted mobility as a result of acute illness.

Fondastar 2.5 mg Injection is an anticoagulant. It stops the action of a substance (clotting factor Xa) from working in the blood. This prevents the formation of unwanted blood clots (thrombosis) in the blood vessels.

Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Fondastar 2.5 mg Injection is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
It is not known whether Fondastar 2.5 mg Injection alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Fondastar 2.5 mg Injection should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Fondastar 2.5 mg Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Fondastar 2.5 mg Injection is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
