Femoston Tablet is a combination of two hormonal medicines: Estradiol and Dydrogesterone which are a part of hormone replacement therapy (HRT). Estradiol works by restoring the falling levels of estrogen in the body which helps reduce distressing symptoms of menopause. However, it may affect the womb lining (endometrium) and increase the risk of endometrial cancer. Dydrogesterone is added to oppose the harmful effect of Estradiol on the womb lining and reduce cancer risk.
