Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tenolol 12.5 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Tenolol 12.5 Tablet is a beta blocker that works specifically on the heart. It works by slowing down the heart rate and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood around the body.

Atenolol and alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
Tenolol 12.5 Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Tenolol 12.5 Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Tenolol 12.5 Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Tenolol 12.5 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Tenolol 12.5 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Regular monitoring of blood pressure is recommended and can help in better dose adjustment.
