Usage of Zencef 1 gm Injection

Zencef 1 gm Injection is used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It is used for the treatment of bacterial infections of urinary tract, skin & soft-tissue, ear, blood, genital and lungs (pneumonia).

How Medicine Works

Zencef 1 gm Injection is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is needed for them to survive.

Zencef 1 gm Injection is safe to use during pregnancy.
Adequate and well-controlled human studies have shown low or no risk.

Zencef 1 gm Injection should be used with caution during lactation. Breast feeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.

Zencef 1 gm Injection may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.

Zencef 1 gm Injection is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Zencef 1 gm Injection is recommended.
However, inform your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.

Zencef 1 gm Injection should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Zencef 1 gm Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Dose adjustment of Zencef 1 gm Injection is not recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.
