Roxicate 50 mg is used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It is used in infections of tonsils, sinus, ear, nose, throat, skin and soft tissues and lungs (pneumonia).

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Roxicate 50 mg is to be taken empty stomach.
Roxicate 50 mg is an antibiotic. It works by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Thus, it stops the bacteria from growing, and prevents the infection from spreading.

Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Roxicate 50 mg is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Roxicate 50 mg may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Roxicate 50 mg is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Roxicate 50 mg may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Roxicate 50 mg should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Roxicate 50 mg may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
