Usage of Clodip Tablet

Description of Clodip Tablet

Clodip Tablet should be taken with food. This will prevent you from getting an upset stomach. Take it in the dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. You should keep taking the medicine even if you feel better until the doctor says it is alright to stop using it.This medicine may cause few common side effects such as loss of appetite, diarrhea, indigestion, allergic reaction, sleepiness, and vertigo. If you experience any such side effects that do not go away or get worse, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may be able to suggest ways of preventing or reducing them.Before using the medicine, you should tell your doctor if you have any other medical conditions or disorders. To make sure it is safe, you should also tell your doctor all the other medicines you are taking. It should be used with caution in patients who are alcoholic or have liver or kidney disease. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctors first before using the medicine.

Clodip Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.

Clodip Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Larger doses or prolonged use of Clodip Tablet may cause sleepiness and other effects in the baby

Clodip Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.
Clodip Tablet may cause headaches, blurred vision, dizziness or drowsiness in some patients. This may affect your ability to drive.

Clodip Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Clodip Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Clodip Tablet may cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.

Clodip Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Clodip Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
However, the use of Clodip Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.

  • Clodip Tablet is used to get relief from the symptoms of common cold.
  • Do not take Clodip Tablet with any other medicine containing (drugs for pain/fever or cough-and-cold) without asking your doctor first.
  • Stick to simple meals and avoid fatty or spicy foods to avoid nausea after taking Clodip Tablet.
  • Along with taking Clodip Tablet do the following simple tips at home to get relief:
  • Steam inhalation.
  • Gargling with warm saltwater.
  • Apply vapor rubs on chest, back if needed. Take enough rest.
  • Take warm food and fluid only. Ensure adequate fluid intake.
  • Advise hygiene measures to reduce spread: frequent hand-washing, avoiding sharing towels, pillowcase, etc.
  • Call your doctor if your symptoms have not improved within seven days of treatment.
