Histonate Plus 2 mg/100 mg Expectorant may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Histonate Plus 2 mg/100 mg Expectorant is a combination of two medicines: Salbutamol and guaifenesin. Salbutamol is a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens airways. Guaifenesin is an expectorant which decreases the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and helps in its removal from the airways. Together, they make breathing easier.

Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Histonate Plus 2 mg/100 mg Expectorant is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Histonate Plus 2 mg/100 mg Expectorant may cause side effects such as dizziness, increased or uneven heart rate, muscle cramps or muscle pain. This may affect your ability to drive.
Histonate Plus 2 mg/100 mg Expectorant should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Histonate Plus 2 mg/100 mg Expectorant may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
