Metoclop Tablet is taken before meals preferably at bedtime in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should take this medicine until your doctor tells you to stop. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.The most common side effects are restlessness, fatigue, and weakness. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. It also causes drowsiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your sleepiness. This medicine may also cause diarrhea, so it is better to take plenty of fluids while taking this medicine as it may help to prevent dehydration.Before taking this medicine, you should let your doctor know if you have liver or kidney problems. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor.

Metoclop Tablet is a prokinetic. It works on the region in the brain that controls vomiting. It also acts on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing food to move more easily through the stomach.

Metoclop Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Metoclop Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Metoclop Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.
Metoclop Tablet may cause drowsiness, dizziness, dyskinesia and dystonias which could affect the vision and may interfere with the ability to drive.
Metoclop Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Metoclop Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Metoclop Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Metoclop Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Metoclop Tablet can help in relieving morning sickness. However, this is not an approved indication for its use. There are other medicines also available to treat morning sickness. Consult a doctor if you need treatment for morning sickness as you should not take any medicine during pregnancy without consulting a doctor.
Metoclop Tablet can be taken with ranitidine. No drug-drug interactions have been reported between the two. However, interactions can occur. Talk to your doctor before taking the two medicines together.
