How Medicine Works

Terex Expectorant is a combination of four medicines: Guaifenesin, ammonium chloride, chlorpheniramine, sodium citrate which relieve cough. Guaifenesin and ammonium chloride are expectorants which decrease the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and help in its removal from the airways. Chlorpheniramine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Sodium citrate is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out.
