Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Tossex T Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Tossex T Syrup is a combination of two medicines: Codeine and Triprolidine, which relieves dry cough. Codeine is a cough suppressant. It suppresses cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain. Triprolidine is an antiallergic. It blocks the action of a chemical messenger (histamine) which may trigger cough due to allergy.

Tossex T Syrup may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Tossex T Syrup may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Tossex T Syrup is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Larger doses or prolonged use of Tossex T Syrup may cause sleepiness and other effects in the baby
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
As Tossex T Syrup may cause dizziness, blurred vision or the inability to think clearly.
Tossex T Syrup should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Tossex T Syrup may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
