Neopred Tablet is an antibiotic. It works in liver disease by killing the ammonia-producing bacteria. The liver normally breaks down ammonia, but in liver disease this function may be impaired, allowing it to enter the brain. Neopred Tablet prevents this by affecting bacteria's production of certain proteins that are necessary for their survival. This ultimately kills the bacteria and treats the infection.
